One-Week Course in: SPLIT (CROATIA)
Targeted to Intermediate English (B1+) speakers.
Concept by Enver Rakovic
Course Description:
Forward-Looking Projects represent the “heavyweight category” of the Erasmus+ program. These are ambitious, transnational projects that do not just seek local change but aim to identify, test, and deploy innovative solutions with the potential to become standards across Europe. This seminar guides you through the labyrinth of systemic reforms—from understanding European priorities to creating proposals that change the rules of the game.
Purpose of the training
The purpose of this seminar is to bridge the gap between advanced educational ideas and their implementation into public policy. We aim to empower experienced project managers and educational leaders to develop projects that test new methodologies in digital, green, and vocational education, while ensuring long-term sustainability and impact on decision-makers.
Objectives
- Decoding – Understanding the specificities of Forward-Looking calls compared to standard KA2 projects.
- Focusing on Priorities – Identifying key themes (digital transformation, inclusion, sustainability, VET excellence).
- Designing Innovation – Learning how to design pilot projects that can be scaled to national or European levels.
- Strategic Networking – Building consortia that include public authorities, research centers, and educational providers.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Independently analyze the annual priorities of Forward-Looking calls.
- Create a methodological framework for testing innovative solutions (piloting).
- Define indicators for measuring policy impact.
- Manage budgets for large-scale consortia and ensure high-quality dissemination to policy-makers.
Agenda
Day 1 – Introduction “Strategic Landscape & Innovation Vision”“
- Welcome, introductions, expectations, overview of the week
- What is a project? Key concepts of project cycle and Erasmus+ Forward Looking Projects
- Using AI Tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for Erasmus+ Project Design – Ethical and Smart. In this module, participants explore how to responsibly use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to support Erasmus+ project writing, without outsourcing their thinking or risking problems with plagiarism and AI‑detection tools. The focus is on using AI as an assistant for structuring ideas and checking language, while ensuring that all decisions, content and final formulations remain genuinely authored by the project team.
Day 2 – Thematic Priorities – Digital & Green
- Deep dive into priorities: Digital education and skills for the green transition.
- Micro-credentials and SCH/VET/ADLT excellence in focus.
- Brainstorming: Generating ideas that fit specific “Lots” of the call.
Day 3 – Methodology – From Pilot to Policy
- Designing experimental phases (testing/piloting).
- Ensuring the “Transferability” of the innovation.
- Workshop – Creating a logical framework for systemic change.
Day 4 – Powerful Consortia & Evaluation Criteria
- Who must be in the team?
- How to convince evaluators of “European Added Value.”
- Simulation – Reviewing project proposals from an evaluator’s perspective.
Day 5 – Impact, Dissemination & Final Roadmap
- Strategy for “Policy Upscaling”—how to influence laws and curricula
- Financial planning for large-scale budgets
- Presenting your “Pitch” for a Forward-Looking project and Certification
Month 1 – After the Course – Follow‑up mentoring (online)
Approximately one month after the end of the course, when participants actually start drafting their Erasmus+ application, each participant will receive up to 2 hours of individual online mentoring (1:1 consultations). During these sessions, participants will work together with the trainer on their draft application, check its alignment with the call objectives and quality criteria, and receive concrete suggestions on how to further strengthen the project’s relevance, logic, activities, budget, and impact plan.

Certificate
Participants who take part in at least 80% of the sessions will proudly receive a Certificate of Attendance, handed out at the end of the course on Friday.
Schedule
Sessions are organized either in the morning or in the afternoon, allowing the training provider to shape the timetable in the way that best supports learning dynamics and group needs. The exact outline may vary depending on participants’ interests and the trainer’s professional judgment, so if there is a topic you would particularly like to explore, simply let us know at least 4 weeks in advance. A final, detailed schedule will be shared with all confirmed participants 2 weeks before the course, giving you plenty of time to prepare.
Cultural activities
Most cultural experiences are planned for Saturday so that you can fully enjoy the local atmosphere without rushing. If the programme includes museum tickets, city cards or activities delivered by an external tour operator, you are welcome to use them earlier in the week if that suits you better, bearing in mind that in that case there will be no additional cultural programme on Saturday. For inspiration and practical details, you are encouraged to explore the official website of the destination city in advance.
Partner base “Ex‑Alumni”
We maintain a closed digital platform, a dedicated LinkedIn group exclusively for our former participants. Through this Ex‑Alumni network, we can connect you with reliable partners from Croatia and the wider region who have successfully completed our training, which significantly reduces the risk of unsuitable or underperforming partners in KA2 projects.
